A special free Black History Month Old Heart screening features a guest appearance of award winning star Edward Gaines. The film has won six best feature honors at film festivals worldwide as well as 20 other honors for acting, cinematography, editing, the score, costuming and screenplay. See the trailer here. This film honors black soldiers who have fought for our country back to the American liberation and is also a tribute to elder independence. Set in Detroit and the Netherlands, Old Heart was filmed in Michigan and the Dutch community of Veldhoven. Twenty-three Michigan actors are featured.
